Parrots. With time, parrots are becoming more and more popular as pets, but we think that most people don't quite understand what they're getting into when they adopt this flappy colorful bird. Sure, there are the base necessities that we must take care of, but having a parrot for a pet is much more than that. Even though you may not think so at first glance, parrots are creatures full of personality. Some parrots love to sing! Other parrots can talk in different accents! There are some parrots who are incredibly intelligent and will use that intelligence to be total jerks. And sometimes, parrots will use their intelligence to save you and your baby from a fire. 

Don't underestimate these itty bitty birbs. They will make your life… amazing. They will make it so much more interesting than it ever was before them. The first time you will hear your parrot scream something completely out of context, you will burst out laughing, and everything will suddenly be worth it.

    With every single additional story that we read about parrots, we become more and more convinced that they are some of the most ridiculous animals out there. Which makes sense, really. They are animals that can talk but don't fully understand what it is that they're saying. So, of course they'll say some weird stuff.

    The only real question is: do they really not understand what they're saying? Or do they understand and fully mean the weird stuff that comes out of their beaks, and we are the ones who are behind, unsure what they mean when they suddenly yell "no!" at the top of their lungs as we pour ourselves a glass of water.
